Braulio Carillo National Park
Posted by freelance: Once upon a time, when there were only a few million people on the planet and technology was not yet as advanced as it is today, forests used to cover a very large portion of Costa Rica, probably nearly its entirety. I think the same goes for entire world during its youth

The Most Overlooked Places in Costa Rica
Posted by freelance: Make a search online about Costa Rican vacation itineraries, and chances are you will get something that is similar to a trip from San Jose, that proceeds to Arenal, Jaco, Manuel Antonio, and back. Well first of all, you gotta hand it to these destinations.

Low-Environmental-Impact Vacation at Selva Bananito Lodge
Posted by freelance: In a country like Costa Rica where promises of green living are abundant, it is sometimes unfortunate to know that some of these hotels and trip organizers are just telling people something that they really cannot fulfill. It does not actually surprise me why some of these companies still tend to advertise their supposedly green agenda–it’s a Tags: selva bananito lodge , environmental lodges . Comments: 0.

An Indian Restaurant in Costa Rica
Posted by freelance: There was a time in Costa Rica when you all you can eat are either American or native food. This was the time when only Americans are in the country, and I suppose they aren’t that discerning about food, or maybe the locals thought that this was the only trick that they need in order to make the expats stay.

Health and Wellness Center in Alajuela
Posted by freelance: Spas and health centers are pretty common all throughout Costa Rica, but not all of them are placed in a suiable place, where the environment itself can help you find that much-needed peace and relaxation. Some of them are placed in the city, where it is admittedly noisier. If there was only heavy pollution, you’d think this is some kind of joke.

Ideology and Realism
Several months ago, I was invited to join a group that wanted to promote more women directors, writers, and female-oriented films in Hollywood. I signed up, and later day I received an email that I was blocked from the site because the administrators decided that they wanted the site to just be for women bloggers.

One Week Journal
Sunday, January 24, 2010 I want to try an experiment. I’m only going to write one post this week, the one you are reading right now, but I will be updating it each night until next Sunday. It will be a seven night long post. “Why?” I’m attracted to the idea because it is counter-intuitive. I don’t think

The Boss
The editor of The Valley News, without him knowing , changed Ace’s headline from – ‘Pat meets Barry’, to – ‘Pat meets The Boss’, in Ace’s article this month about Pat at The South Western, just to create controversy and get some of you out there to write, email, or phone in, to complain about, or laugh at, his lack of music knowledge – Everyone knows Bruce Springsteen is called the ‘Boss’. It was his sad little joke! He sometimes wonders how many people actually read The Valley News so the odd call or prickly response might just perk him up a little. Please give him one of your best BLASTS A.S.A.P
