The nasty weather in the UK through Christmas and the New Year meant many travellers plans were disrupted, with flights delayed or cancelled. There’s not a great deal you can do about the weather but I wish our airports and public transport in general could cope with the bad weather; it is winter after all. Airline tricks and unhelpful customer support As you can imagine my inbox was full of stories from consumers, many asking if they were entitled to compensation for being delayed or their flight cancelled.

A Foodie Crawl of 13 Trucks at TLofts Food Truck Benefit for Haiti

When I got both an email from a PR rep for TLofts as well saw a posting on LA Taco about the TLofts Food Truck Benefit for Haiti where 21 food trucks would be in attendance, I knew I had to be there. Even more so, since some of the proceeds of the sales were going towards helping the victims of the Haiti Earthquake. Since I knew it was going to be pretty crowded towards the latter part of the day, I recruited 3 of my best eating buddies for an early arrival time.

According to a recent post on the Bistro Broad Twitter page , Life Alive is planning on opening a second spot in Cambridge, and an Internet search resulted in the finding of an old post on the Boston Vegan Association website that mentioned this as well

Wee Angel May Be Bringing Scottish Food and Drink to Jamaica Plain

It appears that a Scottish restaurant and pub may be coming to the Jamaica Plain neighborhood of Boston. According to the Jamaica Plain Gazette, a place called the Wee Angel is looking to move into the Perkins Street space where the eclectic restaurant Zon’s used to be before closing last year. At this point in time, the Wee Angel seems to be in the planning stages only, as the article mentions that the person behind the restaurant is hoping to get a malt and wine license over the coming days, with more steps in the opening process to follow.
