Latest Review: East Side Bar and Grille in Cambridge
The latest review on the Boston’s Hidden Restaurants Web site is for an Italian and American restaurant and bar in East Cambridge called East Side Bar and Grille . Located on Cambridge Street between Inman Square and Lechmere Square, East Side Bar and Grille is one of several little-known local hangouts along this stretch of road in East Cambridge. The dining spot has a bar and dining area in the front, and a dining room up and to the back.

The Future is Now: 4Food’s Giant Big Brother Leaderboard is Up and Running
The opening of 4Food , a new almost futuristic quick service Midtown restaurant, has been delayed once again (the website now puts it at September 7). But one important facet of the place, a towering 220 square foot leaderboard, is installed . Look at it glow! As rep Rex Sorgatz explained a couple of months ago, the board will offer a constantly updated stream of Twitter information, Foursquare check-ins, and any activity that’s going on on Facebook in addition to a leaderboard highlighting the most popular menu items

Lucky Number Four: Michael Psilakis tells Flo Fab that…
Michael Psilakis tells Flo Fab that his re-do of the Gus & Gabriel space on the UWS will be a yet unnamed “Mediterranean-style seafood restaurant.” He’ll be renovating the space so that there’s a 30 seat bar area up front and more formal dining room in the back. Remember, this will be his fourth concept in the space in eight years.

Irkut MS-21 flight deck is an Airbus and Boeing hybrid
Mary Kirby posted a series of photos this morning of the inside of Irkut’s MS-21 mock up from Farnborough. I did a double take when I saw the flight deck mock up, which at first glance appears to be a hybrid of Boeing and Airbus flight decks. The influence appears to be heavily weighted toward the 787, with its five primary display layout, vertical FMC keypad , and an overhead panel structure which is virtually the same shape .

Shitshows: Abe & Arthur’s
Today’s Shitshow Review is brought to you by Eater contributor and comedian Max Silvestri. My first reaction to the sea of cigars, plastic surgery, dress slacks and yellow silicone gel charity bracelets that welcomed me at the entrance of Abe & Arthur’s was to text our fine editor Amanda Kludt a bunch of swear words.

First Word : 24 Hour Breakfast Joint to Replace Anarchist Record Store
A tipster notices some interesting signage up in the window of Passout Records in Williamsburg, asking for kitchen help for a new restaurant going into the space called B.A.D., or “breakfast all day.” This is apparently the new project of a former owner and operator of once shuttered , but recently revived Mexican mini-chain Burritoville . Although a diner near the recently closed Relish, is not a bad idea, as history has proven, the 24 hour brunch concept can be a hard one to pull off . Also, that name.

Relaunches: As promised, a sneak peak at…
As promised , a sneak peak at Nur Khan and Paul Sevigny’s relaunch of Don Hill’s will go down tomorrow night, with a “pre-renovation” invite only show by Jack White’s side band The Dead Weather . The new owners are promising a “return to Old Skool NYC, when downtown was downtown and uptown and uptown was uptown.” Queens will still be Queens. The club will then close out the month of August with previously scheduled shows before doing a larger roll out for Fashion Week.

Good News/Bad News: The Early Word on Eddie Huang’s New Xiao Ye
Following months of anticipation and a months of teasing the public with previews of his new menu items, Eddie Huang’s Xiao Ye finally opened for dinner service last week, with a new roster of a la carte items set to debut on Thursday. The Taiwanese spot builds on the success of Huang’s BaoHaus, but this time in a full-scale sit-down restaurant that serves borderline-gimmicky named dishes like “concubine cucumber” and “Big Trouble in Little Hainan Chicken.” With his second restaurant in just eight months, has Huang shot to the top of the Lower East Side dining scene?

Deathwatch: At Vermilion
The only argument against deathwatching At Vermilion , a failed translation of a supposedly successful restaurant in Chicago, is that it soldiers on. It would have been in the hospice back when it opened were it not for a year long Deathwatch moratorium.
