A Look Back: While the Max’s Kansas City retrospective…

While the Max’s Kansas City retrospective has been generating a lot of buzz, another bar from the same era but with a very different crowd is also getting the historical treatment . The Terminal Bar was one of the seediest joints in New York in the 1970′s and early 1980′s, hosting a menagerie of pimps, prostitutes, drug dealers and drunks that defined Times Square and the Port Authority area before it was cleaned up. Terminal Bar bartender Sheldon Nadlemen photographed the thousands of customers and employees who spent time there, and his son Stefan has turned into a 23 minute film looking back at a very different New York City.
