So close to free fruit at Capitol Reef – Capitol Reef National Park, Utah, United States
Jump to the full entry & travel map Capitol Reef National Park, Utah, United States On route to Mesa Verde we decided that we would also visit Capitol Reef. It was quite a pleasant surprise as the park was vibrant and colourful & it was sold short as far as the National Parks go! The park was not only a pleasant surprise in terms of the scenery… we also discovered that the park maintains orchards that were planted there years ago, when the park was privately owned and they continue to grow & pick the fruit when it is in season

Jump to the full entry & travel map Death Valley National Park, California, United States We headed from Yosemtie towards Death Valley and stayed a night in Bishop, a small town you have to pass through to get to Death Valley. We picked up some more camping supplies and continued the next day on our journey.. We knew we were approaching Death Valley when the car temperature gage was reading 100 degrees! It only seemed to increase the further we went into the park! Well, they were certainly right about not passing many other cars! We drove to a campsite and it felt surreal.

The ocean looked a lot calmer today even though the wind was still blowing at about 9 knots from the West. Today we were scheduled to cruise from Cherbourg, around the tip of the peninsula past Guernsey and a few dozen other islands in the English Channel to the port in Saint-Malo

Good Morning – Las Vegas, United States
Jump to the full entry & travel map Las Vegas, United States Apparently one tacky sized Las Vegas beverage is all it takes for Bella to turn on me. We ate at a fine establishment called the Steipburger where we were told the sides were big enough to feed three people…What did we do?ordered seperate sides for each of course not to mention the entered and milkshakes.Standard menu pose is missed though due to Aaron and Bella having to look”like adults.” It’s now Wed morning and Aaron and Bella spent twenty minutes by the pool before Aaron started crying of the heat and hunger heads. I circled the casino floor while this all went down and managed to break even

Tannum Sands – Tannum Sands, Queensland, Australia
Jump to the full entry & travel map Tannum Sands, Queensland, Australia We arrived in Tannum Sands on a late Thursday afternoon, after spending a few hours still at Agnes Water beach(surfing). We all loved it at Agnes Water beach just still keeping up our skills on surfing.Mum also enjoyed her sun baking out on the beach. So while we were in Tannum Sands we had our very first camp fire with a few neighbors at the caravan park.Mum and dad had a nice little chat discussing places we’ve been to and stuff like that.We also apparently had the best spot in the caravan park.We had a camp fire right at our door step,we were HAND feeding kookaburras, spotting VERY big kangaroos and away from all the other caravans. We did go fishing on the WILD C attle Creek but only caught a couple of bream and a tiny flathead. We also took a drive to Lake Awooonga, which was beautiful. We again went fishing but had no luck. After giving up on fishing, a man gave us two double kayaks for a really good price, and we paddled out on the lake ’till the sun went down.

Fashion Ed Hardy – Dulaym, Murzuq, Libya
Jump to the full entry & travel map Dulaym, Murzuq, Libya I love Ed Hardy I love ed hardy Shirts , and bathing suits, but once again the brand that is notorious for it’s amazing tattoo art work has disappointed me yet again. Ed Hardy has basically took the Louis Vuitton Speedy design and made a different yet horrific version. It seems that Ed Hardy was trying to reach new heights with this style of bag, but in reality made a handbag that looks tacky.

harmony beach – Ban Tai, Surat Thani, Thailand
Jump to the full entry & travel map Ban Tai, Surat Thani, Thailand Harmony beach resort, after a journey across the island to the south coast, in the back of a pick up truck, we arrive a the top of a steep hill with a rough path going down in to some trees! Harmony beach is a discrete little private beach surrounded on both sides by large rocks, the rooms are quite basic and you are sharing with plenty of wildlife. A lovely hand made four poster bed with a mozzy net was the only furniture, The main building is something special, they have built the roof of off the sides of the large builder cliffs, the ceiling was quite high and it had some what of a church feel to it, decorated with buddist art and scattered bean bags with low tables, with bob Marley playing on the sterio (very good music playing at all times while we where here), the whole room had a very harmonious feel to it! We were tempted to stay here a few days, but we prefered not to share our living space with all the creatures of the jungle!!!!!!!! So back up the hill with the bags!!!!!

I can’t say I’ve had cauliflower and broccoli in a salad before and I also can’t say the Italian dressing went down too well with them but it was good to see normal things such as carrots, tomato and celery on the plate

Jump to the full entry & travel map Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia Kununarra to Darwin Left Kununarra early heading Eastwards towards Katherine where I intended to stop for the night, the most exciting part of the journey was when a few kilometres from Kununarra I crossed the border into The Northern Territory. Until this point I had been in Western Australia which is the largest state in the federation. There is a quarantine post here and had I been travelling east to west I would have had to dump any fresh fruit and vegetables as you are not allowed to take these into W.A this restriction does not apply going in the other direction.
