Dream of Italy Leads Readers to The Butcher of Panzano
I love hearing feedback from subscribers when they use our articles to help them with their travels in Italy. We first wrote about “the Butcher of Panzano” Dario Cecchini in 2004 when he was becoming famous the world over as a Renaissance man with absolutely his lucious cuts of meat and a store worth a special pilgrimage
It has been a while since the last podcast, but today, I took the opportunity of a bank holiday weekend, to record a new episode. I rant about the Florida gulf coast “disaster” and ask for your opinion on the UK’s worst airports, plus news of this year’s Travel BlogCamp. Most of the people who travel are businessmen. They visit branches of their companies in different places to ensure that their programs or corporate plans are implemented or followed. This makes them busy, not only in travel, but also with the other activities they have to do and plan for.
The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of travelling in the UK, compared with the hassle of taking a holiday abroad. I spent most of this week on the Yorkshire coast, and it was hassle free. It cost me £25 per night in a decent B&B, with breakfast and free This post was syndicated from the Travel Rants Consumer Blog .

As one of Europe’s top destinations, France is in my list of places to have a holiday. Aside from its rich history and culture, medieval buildings and landmarks, the beautiful regions in France, such as Brittany, Normandy, Cote d’Azur, the Pyrenees and many others, are reason enough for travel bugs to enjoy scenic views while
Renting a Car in Italy? Great Deals from Auto Europe
I’ve been a big fan of Auto Europe for many years. In my first few visits years ago, I tried other rental companies in Italy but once I started using Auto Europe I was hooked. I always feel bad when I order a Diet Coke (or “Coca Light”) when I’m in Italy. First, it clearly gives me away as an American. (Some Italians call Coke or Diet Coke – “American champagne.”) Second, it usually costs more than a glass of wonderful house wine

Over the years I have written (ranted) about most types of holidays, other than cruises. I do like the idea of sailing to different destinations, and some of the cruise ships are pretty impressive, but, the fact that I travel solo a lot means cruise holidays are out of my budget
