Jump to the full entry & travel map Coober Pedy, South Australia, Australia Unfortunately the winds did not disipate enough for us to have the priveldge of climbing up Ayers Rock..I am sure the local Aboriginals fart constantly so that us whitefellers do not have an opportunity to climb up it…. We spent an overnight stop at Marla at the roadhouse and then made our way down to Coober Pedy where we are now into our second day. Talk about a shit hole…yeah it is all well and good that the surrounding area contains a beautiful and rare commodity, being opals, but jesus, there definately isn’t anything beautiful about the town
